Early 2025, I started barbacking at Block and Drum, a Hi-Fi Vinyl Cocktail Bar located in Atlanta.
During my second shift, I met DJ Kemit, the performer of the night. We got talking and discussed our travels, Japan, and the music scene in the far east.
This conversation unexpectedly transformed into an idea for Block and Drum – What if we brought Japanese City Pop to Atlanta?
